The origin of Valentine’s day

About the day, there are many versions of the legend.Below is my favorite version.February 14th is the 45th day of the year. And there are 320 days from now until the end of the year. February 14th each year is a traditional Valentine’s Day in Western countries.

      AD 270- Valentino of Rome was executed. This day was later as “Valentine’s Day”. It’s a national festival of some countries in Europe, America and Oceania.
    The The third century AD, the Roman Empire, a full crisis, economic depression, the ruling class corruption, social unrest, people have resistance. The aristocracy brutally suppressed the population and Christians in order to maintain their rule. Valentine was a Christian. He was arrested and jailed. In prison, he impressed the warden's daughter with a sincere heart. They loved each other. And he was taken care of by the governor's daughter. The ruling class ordered him to execute the death penalty. Before his inauguration, he wrote a long suicide note to the governor's daughter, indicating that he was innocent. It showed his bright and honest mind and deep attachment to the daughter of the governor.

He was sentenced to death on February 14, 270 AD. Christians later sacrificed themselves for the sake of pure Valentine's memory in commemoration of Valentine, defining the day of execution as St. Valentine's Day, Change to "Valentine's Day".
